How to evaluate the effect of embossing?
Pattern clarity:
Are the convex parts full and sharp?
Are the concave parts smooth and wrinkle-free (especially prone to wrinkles on loose fabrics)?
Fabric integrity:
Are there any broken, snagged, or damaged fibers on the surface?
Stretch test: Gently pull the embossed area to observe if there is any cracking (especially on delicate fabrics).
Three-dimensional fit:
Does the height match the fabric style (e.g., thin fabrics require subtle, low convexity; heavy fabrics require pronounced, high convexity)?
Does it feel stiff to the touch (excessive convexity may cause discomfort and affect the user experience).
Durability:
Wash test (apparel fabrics): Simulate 1-3 washes to observe if the pattern deforms or if the height fades.
Abrasion test (bags/sofa fabrics): Lightly sandpaper the fabric 50 times to check if the convex parts wear out rapidly.
