How to do silicone rope dipping?
1. Preparation Stage
---Prepare the rope ends: Select an appropriate rope according to the production requirements and cut the rope to the desired length.
---Choose resin materials: Typically, AB resin is used for this operation due to its fast curing time and strong adhesion properties.
---Prepare other tools and materials: Such as resin dispensing equipment (e.g., resin gun or dropper), digital scale, stirring stick, plastic cup, heat gun (to accelerate curing), etc.
2. Resin Application
---Mix the resin: Pour the AB resin into a plastic cup in the correct ratio, and stir it thoroughly with a stirring stick until no air bubbles remain. Be careful to avoid trapping air during mixing.
---Apply the resin: Drop the prepared resin onto the rope end, carefully controlling the amount and speed to ensure the resin is evenly applied.
3. Curing and Shaping
---Cure the resin: Place the resin-coated rope ends in a well-ventilated area and allow the resin to cure naturally. Curing time depends on the type of resin and temperature, usually around 24 hours.
---Shape the rope end: After the resin is fully cured, use a knife or scissors to trim and shape the rope ends for a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
★Note: If a glossy finish is desired, you can apply a layer of glossy silicone resin on top. Additionally, logos can be printed on the resin if needed.
