How to degas silk screen silicone?

There are two common methods for degassing silk screen silicone:
Vacuum degassing method
Equipment required: Vacuum degassing machine is the most commonly used equipment, which is mainly composed of vacuum chamber, vacuum pump, control panel and other parts.
Operation steps: First, pour the prepared silk screen silicone into a clean container, do not fill it up, and the height of the silicone in the container should not exceed two-thirds of the height of the container, so that there is enough space for the bubbles to be discharged. Then, put the container with silicone into the vacuum chamber of the vacuum degassing machine, close the chamber door, and ensure a good seal. Next, start the vacuum pump and set the appropriate vacuum degree and degassing time. Generally speaking, the vacuum degree can be set between - 0.08MPa and - 0.1MPa, and the degassing time depends on the amount of silicone and the bubble situation, usually 5-15 minutes. During the degassing process, it can be observed that the bubbles in the silicone gradually become larger and rise to the surface and burst. When the set degassing time is reached, turn off the vacuum pump first, and then slowly open the vent valve of the vacuum chamber to gradually restore the pressure in the chamber to normal pressure. Finally, take out the degassed silicone and print as soon as possible to prevent the silicone from inhaling air and producing bubbles again.
Natural static degassing method
Operation steps: After pouring the prepared silk screen silicone into the container, place the container in a stable place and let the silicone stand naturally for a period of time. The standing time depends on the amount and viscosity of the silicone. It usually takes several hours or even longer. For example, for a small amount of low-viscosity silicone, it may take 1-2 hours to achieve a good degassing effect, while for a large amount of high-viscosity silicone, it may take 4-8 hours to stand. During this process, the bubbles in the silicone will gradually rise to the surface and burst under the action of gravity. In order to accelerate the degassing process, the silicone can be stirred appropriately, but attention should be paid to the strength and direction of stirring to avoid bringing in too much air again.
The vacuum degassing method is efficient and effective, and is suitable for large-scale production with high degassing requirements; the natural static degassing method is simple to operate, but it takes a long time, and is suitable for small-scale production or situations where the degassing requirements are not particularly high.
