How to choose the middle layer silicone for silicone screen printing?
Silicone substrate characteristics
Confirm the hardness (Shore hardness), surface tension, expansion rate, etc. of the substrate, and select the middle layer ink (such as silicone special ink or transition agent) with good compatibility with the substrate.
Example: If the substrate is highly elastic silicone, the middle layer needs to have the same or higher expansion to avoid cracking after printing.
Ink performance matching
Base layer and middle layer: The middle layer needs to be firmly attached to the base layer (such as primer or printed pattern) to avoid delamination.
Middle layer and surface layer: Ensure that the surface layer ink (such as color ink, protective layer) can be closely combined with the middle layer to prevent falling off or bleeding.
Case: If the middle layer is white, it is necessary to select white silicone ink with strong covering power and compatible with color ink.
Functional requirements
If the middle layer needs to have special functions such as conductivity, thermal conductivity, and anti-slip, it is necessary to select the corresponding functional ink and test the performance indicators (such as conductivity and friction coefficient).
