How to print the middle layer of silicone?
Printing process control
Screen accuracy and scraper pressure
Screen mesh: If the middle layer is a fine pattern (such as gradient transition or fine text), a high mesh screen (such as 200-300 mesh) is required; if it is a large area primer, a low mesh screen (such as 80-120 mesh) can be used.
Scraper pressure and angle: Too much pressure will cause the ink to penetrate too deeply and damage the bottom layer; too little pressure may cause uneven thickness of the middle layer. The recommended scraper angle is 45°-60°, and the pressure is uniform and stable.
Ink thickness and drying
Wet film thickness: The thickness of the middle layer is adjusted by controlling the number of scrapings and the viscosity of the ink (adding diluent or thickener). The thickness is usually 10-30μm, which needs to be flexibly adjusted according to functional requirements (such as hiding power, elasticity).
Drying conditions:
Solvent-based ink: first dry at room temperature (5-10 minutes), then dry at high temperature (such as 80-120℃, 15-30 minutes) to avoid solvent residue causing blistering on the surface.
Silicone ink (addition type/condensation type): The baking temperature and time (such as 150℃, 10-20 minutes) need to be controlled according to the curing agent ratio to ensure complete crosslinking.
