What are the advantages of silicone badges compared to PVC badges?
1. More environmentally friendly and safer materials
Non-toxic and harmless: Silicone is a highly active adsorbent material and is environmentally friendly. It does not contain harmful substances such as phthalates (plasticizers). It complies with environmental standards such as EU RoHS and FDA standards and is non-irritating to human skin, making it particularly suitable for direct skin contact (such as when worn on clothing).
Limitations of PVC: Ordinary PVC may contain plasticizers during the production process, which may release trace amounts of harmful substances with long-term contact. Some low-quality PVC products are less environmentally friendly and do not meet strict environmental standards.
2. Superior physical properties
High and low temperature resistance: Silicone has excellent temperature resistance and maintains stable performance in environments ranging from -40°C to 200°C. It is not susceptible to deformation, cracking, or hardening due to temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for use in challenging environments such as outdoor and high-temperature operations.
Aging and weather resistance: Silicone has strong antioxidant properties. It resists fading, brittleness, or aging under long-term exposure to sunlight, rain, and UV rays, extending its service life (typically up to several years). Disadvantages of PVC: PVC has a narrow temperature resistance range (generally -15°C to 60°C). It easily softens and deforms at high temperatures, hardens and cracks at low temperatures, and is prone to aging and fading with long-term outdoor use.

3. Better Touch and Texture
Soft and Flexible: Silicone is soft and delicate, feels smooth, and has good elasticity and resilience, making it more comfortable to wear and less likely to scratch clothing or skin.
Clearer and Three-Dimensional Texture: Silicone can achieve intricate patterns and textures through a molding process, creating a strong three-dimensional effect. The surface can be finished in matte, glossy, or frosted, creating a more premium visual quality.

Characteristics of PVC: PVC is relatively hard (especially hard PVC), has poor elasticity, and feels rough to the touch. It may feel stiff after long-term wear.
4. Enhanced Chemical Resistance and Durability
Corrosion and Acid and Alkali Resistance: Silicone is resistant to corrosion by chemicals such as water, oil, alcohol, and common acids and alkalis. It is not easily corroded and is easy to clean from everyday stains with water or alcohol. Unbreakable: Silicone is highly resilient and offers excellent stretch and tear resistance, making it resistant to damage even with slight bending or squeezing. PVC, on the other hand, is relatively fragile and can crack or break under prolonged stress.

5. Wide Range of Applications
Due to their environmental friendliness, weather resistance, and safety, silicone badges are particularly suitable for children's products, outdoor equipment, medical products, and food contact accessories. They are also commonly used as commemorative badges or gifts for high-end brands.
