Color accuracy control of silicone pigments
The influence of substrate transparency on color
Transparent silicone: The color paste is more vivid, and the amount of addition needs to be strictly controlled (such as 0.1%~2%) to avoid too dark color;
White/translucent silicone: The color paste will be "diluted" by the base, and the amount of main color paste needs to be appropriately increased (can be increased to 3%~5%), or a small amount of transparent silicone should be used to adjust the color before mixing with the white base.
Light source and color difference calibration
During the color adjustment process and after curing, it is necessary to compare the color card or sample under a standard light source (such as D65 daylight simulation light source), and avoid judging the color under a monochromatic light source (such as incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp) to prevent color difference due to the difference in light source color temperature (such as red is orange under warm light, and blue is purple under cold light).
Color paste batch consistency
During batch production, the same brand and batch number of color pastes need to be used. Different batches of color pastes may cause hue deviation (such as dark blue to light blue) due to differences in pigment particle size and dispersant. Batch comparison test is required before use.
