Precautions for the use of platinum curing agent
Avoid "poisoning" : It is strictly prohibited to come into contact with sulfur-containing substances (such as rubber products, sulfides), amines (such as certain adhesives, mold release agents), and heavy metal compounds. Otherwise, it will cause the catalyst to fail and the material to be unable to cure.
Proportion control: The base material and curing agent should be mixed in a specific proportion (usually specified by the manufacturer, such as 100:1 to 100:5). An improper proportion may lead to incomplete curing or performance degradation.
Storage conditions: It should be stored in a sealed container in a cool and dry place (usually at 0 to 25℃), avoiding light and high temperatures. Otherwise, it may become ineffective prematurely. The shelf life is generally 6 to 12 months.
Operating environment: After mixing, the operation should be completed within the applicable period (usually several minutes to several hours, shortening as the temperature rises). The curing temperature can be adjusted according to requirements (from room temperature to 150℃, the higher the temperature, the faster the curing).
