When brand clothing uses silicone to make screen-printed logos, the selection and use of printing tools are as follows:
1. Customization requirements for screen printing plates
Mesh count:
Fine LOGO (such as text, fine lines): Use 200-300 mesh stainless steel mesh to ensure clear patterns;
Large area color blocks or three-dimensional effects: 120-180 mesh screen, sufficient silicone ink accumulation, strong three-dimensional effect.
Screen tension:
Tension is controlled at 20-25N/cm. Insufficient tension will cause blurred patterns, and excessive tension will easily cause screen cracks. The new screen needs to be left to stand for 24 hours until the tension is stable before use.
2. Squeegee selection
Material: Use polyurethane (PU) squeegee, hardness (Shore A) 45-65:
45-55A: soft, suitable for curved surfaces or elastic fabrics, to ensure uniform ink coverage;
60-65A: high hardness, suitable for flat printing, can increase ink thickness.
Edge shape:
Round-edge scrapers (R angle 5-10mm) are used for ordinary printing, and pointed scrapers are suitable for fine lines or three-dimensional effects.
3. Printing table and auxiliary equipment
Vacuum adsorption table: ensure the flatness of the fabric to avoid displacement during printing, especially suitable for elastic or thin fabrics.
Oven and curing equipment:
Thermal curing requires a hot air circulation oven with a temperature uniformity of ±5℃ to avoid local overheating; infrared curing lamps can be used for small-scale production, but the irradiation distance (30-50cm) and time (3-5 minutes) must be controlled.
