What's the operation process of embossing silicone on clothing
Equipment and tool preparation
Embossed equipment: Choose the appropriate embossing equipment according to the material and embossing requirements of the clothing. Common embossing equipment includes heat press, high frequency machine, ultrasonic machine, etc. Different equipment has different working principles and application scopes, and needs to be selected according to actual conditions.
Mold: Make a mold that matches the embossed pattern. Metal, silicone, resin and other materials can be used to make the mold. The quality and precision of the mold directly affect the embossing effect, so make sure that the surface of the mold is smooth and flawless.
Other tools: such as scissors, tweezers, spray guns, etc., are used to assist in the application, cutting and cleaning of silicone.
Mixing and applying silicone
If liquid silicone is used, the A and B components of silicone need to be mixed in a certain proportion and fully stirred. The mixing ratio and stirring time should be strictly in accordance with the product manual to ensure the performance and curing effect of silicone.
Apply the prepared silicone evenly on the mold, or directly on the fabric of the garment. The thickness of the application should be controlled according to the requirements of embossing, generally between 0.5-2 mm. When applying, be careful to avoid bubbles and flow marks to ensure the flatness and uniformity of the silicone.
Embossing operation
Place the garment fabric or mold coated with silicone on the workbench of the embossing equipment and adjust the parameters such as pressure, temperature, and time. Different types of silicone and fabrics require different embossing parameters, which need to be adjusted according to actual conditions.
Start the embossing equipment and perform the embossing operation. During the embossing process, pay attention to the curing of the silicone and the embossing effect, and adjust the parameters in time to ensure the quality of the embossing. The embossing time is generally between a few seconds and a few minutes, depending on the type and thickness of the silicone and the performance of the embossing equipment.
