The scoop coater is a tool used to apply photosensitive agent on the screen, also known as the screen slurry. Commonly used scrapers are mostly made of stainless steel. This kind of scraper has the characteristics of light weight, easy to use, strong corrosion resistance, not easy to rust, and easy to make.

The scoop coater has two uses, one is to apply photosensitive glue, and the other is to seal the screen. When applying photosensitive glue, first pour the photosensitive emulsion into the scoop coater, and the amount poured generally does not exceed 1/2 of the scoop coater capacity. When using, tilt the stretched screen frame about 70 degrees and lean it against a fixed bracket. Put the edge of the scoop coater with the photosensitive emulsion horizontally against the lower end of the screen frame, and then tilt the scraper slightly upward to make the photosensitive agent contact the screen. Then move smoothly from bottom to top. In order to make the photosensitive film and the screen firmly combined. Coating is scraped on both sides of the screen frame. The number of coatings on the outside of the screen frame is more than the number of coatings on the outside. The specific operation method is: scrape once and dry coat once. In order to ensure uniform coating thickness, the screen frame position is swapped up and down after each coating, and this operation is repeated until the required film thickness is reached.
