What is silicone pigment?
Main ingredients: Silicone color paste is usually composed of pigment, dispersant, carrier and some additives. Pigment is the key part of giving color. Common ones are inorganic pigments (such as titanium dioxide can provide white, iron oxide pigments can present different shades of red, yellow, etc.) and organic pigments (more colorful, such as phthalocyanine blue, azo pigments, etc.); dispersant can make the pigment evenly dispersed in the carrier, so as to facilitate better mixing with silicone; carrier is generally a liquid or paste substance with good compatibility with silicone, such as silicone oil, so that the color paste can be smoothly integrated into the silicone system; additives may include antioxidants, ultraviolet absorbers, etc., which are used to improve the stability of color paste and dyed silicone products.
Features:
Good compatibility: It has good compatibility with various types of silicone (such as liquid silicone, solid silicone), can be evenly dispersed in silicone, will not appear agglomerated, stratified, and other phenomena, to ensure that the color of the dyed silicone is uniform.
High concentration and color saturation: The pigment content in the color paste is relatively high, so a relatively ideal color effect can be achieved with a small amount, providing high color saturation to meet the production of silicone products with different color requirements.
Weather resistance and stability: High-quality silicone color paste has good weather resistance. Under different environmental conditions (such as long-term exposure to sunlight, high or low temperature environments, etc.), the color can remain relatively stable, not easy to fade or change color, and will not have adverse effects on the physical and chemical properties of the silicone itself (such as elasticity, hardness, etc.).
