When the fully automatic oval printing machine uses silicone ink for printing, what are the physical properties requirements for silicone materials?
1. Hardness (Shore A)
Applicable range: 20-60 Shore A
Impact:
Too low (<20A): The silicone is too soft and easy to deform during printing, resulting in blurred edges of the pattern and difficulty in demolding (especially fine patterns).
Too high (>60A): Insufficient elasticity affects the fit with the substrate, resulting in uneven ink transfer, especially when printing on curved or concave and convex surfaces.
Recommended value:
Flat printing: 30-40A (taking into account elasticity and stiffness).
Three-dimensional/thick printing: 40-50A (reduce edge collapse).
2. Tensile strength and elongation at break
Tensile strength: ≥3MPa (to ensure that the silicone screen or rubber head does not break due to tension during printing).
Elongation at break: ≥300% (to avoid fatigue aging due to frequent stretching during high-speed printing).
3. Resilience
Requirement: Resilience time < 0.5 seconds (i.e., it quickly returns to its original shape after being pressed).
Impact: Poor resilience will lead to longer printing intervals (it is necessary to wait for the silicone to recover its shape), reduce production efficiency, and easily cause pattern ghosting.
