Film-forming substances:
Polydimethylvinylsiloxane: It is one of the main components of silicone slip topcoat, and its content is usually around 50%-70%. It has good flexibility and weather resistance and can form a uniform protective film on the surface of silicone, giving silicone products a good feel and gloss.
Polymethylhydrogensilane: Generally accounts for 5%-10%, which can increase the cross-linking density of hand oil, enhance the hardness and wear resistance of the coating, and make the surface of silicone products smoother and more wear-resistant.
Filler: Silicon dioxide is a common filler, with a content of 10%-20%. It can increase the viscosity and thixotropy of hand oil, improve the covering power and filling performance of the coating, make the surface of silicone smoother and more delicate, and at the same time enhance the mechanical strength and wear resistance of the coating.
Solvent:
D5: Decamethylcyclopentasiloxane, which is often used as a solvent in silicone slip topcoat, with a content of about 20%-30%. It has good solubility and volatility, can make the various components in the hand feel oil evenly dispersed, and quickly evaporates during the drying process, so that the coating can be quickly cured.
White oil: It is also widely used as a solvent for silicone hand feel oil, but white oil has certain toxicity. Now there are also some environmentally friendly hand feel oils that use low-toxic and environmentally friendly solvents such as dimethyl carbonate (DMC) to replace white oil.
Additives:
Catalysts: Such as platinum water, etc., can accelerate the curing reaction of hand feel oil and improve production efficiency. Its dosage is generally small, usually around 1%-1.2%.
Leveling agent: It is used to improve the leveling of hand feel oil coating, prevent defects such as shrinkage cavities and orange peel, and make the coating surface smoother and flatter.
Defoaming agent: It can eliminate bubbles generated during the preparation and construction of hand feel oil to prevent bubbles from remaining in the coating and affecting the appearance and performance.
