General temperature range:
Under normal circumstances, platinum catalyst can cure liquid silicone at room temperature (about 20℃-25℃), but the curing speed is relatively slow. At room temperature, depending on the specific formula of the silicone and the amount of catalyst added, it may take several hours or even longer to fully cure.
After heating, the curing speed will be greatly accelerated. Generally speaking, liquid silicone can be cured in a shorter time within the temperature range of 60℃-150℃. For example, at a temperature of about 100℃-120℃, it may only take tens of minutes to achieve a good curing effect.
Special temperature range:
In some special applications, the temperature range of platinum catalyst will be wider. For example, some specially formulated platinum curing silicone products can still maintain certain curing performance at a low temperature of -60℃, and can also maintain its performance stability after curing at a temperature of 250℃ or even higher. However, this is only the performance under special circumstances. The specific operating temperature range needs to be determined based on the specific requirements of the product and actual testing.
