The temperature and time control of the drying surface of the silicone material is the key link to ensure the silicone printing effect and product quality. Here are some suggestions on how to control the temperature and time of the drying surface of the silicone material:

1. Temperature control
Suitable temperature range:
Generally speaking, the drying temperature of silicone should be between 60℃ and 120℃, and the specific temperature depends on the type, shape, thickness of the silicone and the characteristics of the ink.
Ordinary silicone can be dried at around 100℃, but the drying time may be longer. For color-changing (indicating) silicone, the temperature should not exceed 120℃ to avoid destroying the indicator components therein.
If used for activation treatment of the silicone surface, the temperature may be slightly higher, such as 105℃ to 110℃, but the time is shorter, usually 30 to 40 minutes.
Temperature adjustment principle:
Gradually increase the temperature: To avoid deformation or melting of the silicone, it is recommended to gradually increase the temperature to the set value.
Avoid excessive temperature: Although high temperature can shorten the drying time, excessively high temperature may cause the silicone to change color, lose adsorption capacity or damage the printed pattern.
2. Time control
Drying time:
The drying time depends on the size and thickness of the silicone and the drying temperature. Generally speaking, it is common for the drying time to be between 2 hours and 4 hours.
When drying at a lower temperature, it may take longer to ensure that the surface of the silicone is completely dry.
If a higher drying temperature is used, the time can be shortened accordingly, but it is necessary to monitor the status of the silicone to prevent overheating.
2. Regular inspection:
During the drying process, it is recommended to check the status of the silicone every print. This helps to timely discover and adjust the drying conditions to avoid over-drying or under-drying.
3. Other precautions

Ventilation conditions:
Silicone will release a certain amount of moisture and harmful gases during the drying process, so it needs to be dried in a well-ventilated environment to reduce the harm to operators and the environment.
Avoid multiple drying:
Although silica gel can be repeatedly dried and used to a certain extent, multiple drying will reduce its adsorption performance and printing effect. Therefore, if possible, avoid drying the same silica gel multiple times.
Safety measures:
When drying silica gel, always pay attention to safety. Avoid using flammable materials and unsafe electrical equipment, and wear appropriate protective equipment (such as protective gloves) to protect yourself from high temperatures and harmful gases.
