The process of screen printing silicone on polyester materials mainly includes the steps of silicone preparation, screen making, printing preparation, printing, curing treatment, inspection and packaging. The following is a detailed introduction:
Silicone preparation: Mix the silicone and curing agent in a certain proportion. The type and hardness of the silicone should be determined according to the specific printing requirements. The amount of curing agent added needs to be precisely controlled. Too much will cause the silicone to cure too quickly, affecting the printing effect.
Screen making: Make the corresponding screen according to the printing pattern design. The screen selection needs to be determined according to the size and fineness of the pattern. Generally, screens of different meshes are used to achieve different effects.
Printing preparation:
Pour the prepared silicone into the silicone tank of the printing machine, adjust the pressure and speed of the printing machine, install and adjust the screen.
Prepare the polyester substrate to be printed, clean its surface, and ensure that it is dust-free and oil-free.
Start printing:
Start the printing machine, apply the silicone evenly on the screen, and then print the silicone on the surface of the polyester substrate by pressure.
During the printing process, the speed and pressure of the printing machine must be controlled to ensure uniform and consistent printing effects.
Curing treatment:
After printing, the silicone needs to be cured, usually by drying or UV curing to ensure that the silicone is completely dry and cured.
The curing time and temperature should be determined according to the type and thickness of the silicone. Too short will result in incomplete curing of the silicone, and too long will affect production efficiency. For example, the general baking temperature is around 120-160 degrees Celsius. After printing, it will dry naturally without baking in 6-10 minutes, and the material can be collected after half an hour.
Inspection and packaging:
After curing, the printing effect is inspected, and the clarity, color saturation and other indicators of the printed pattern are checked to ensure that they meet the requirements.
Finally, the printed products are packaged to prevent surface damage.
