Precautions for using gold silicone color paste
If used for food contact silicone products (such as silicone tableware), food-grade certified color paste must be selected (metallic pigments may not meet food contact standards, inorganic pigments are preferred).
Fully stir when adjusting color: Metallic pigments (gold powder) are easy to precipitate, so they need to be stirred evenly before use to avoid local color unevenness.
Note compatibility: Different brands of silicone (such as room temperature curing silicone, high temperature vulcanized silicone) have different requirements for color paste carriers, and corresponding models need to be selected (to avoid poor curing or discoloration).
In short, gold silicone color paste may contain "gold powder" (copper-zinc alloy powder), but not all gold colors rely on gold powder - the core is to choose colorants based on "whether a metallic texture is needed". If used in specific scenarios (such as food contact, high temperature environment), the color paste composition and certification must be confirmed in advance to avoid performance problems.
