Operation specification of silicone injection machine during operation
1. Start-up and debugging
Start-up sequence: first turn on the power, turn on the control system, then start the barrel heating device (preheat for 15-30 minutes to the set temperature), and finally turn on the pump body or air pressure system.
Dry running test: After starting up, first perform an empty filling test (without material), check whether there is air residue in the pipeline (manifested as unstable filling volume), and exhaust the air through the exhaust valve until the discharge is uniform.
2. Material filling operation
Mixing ratio control:
Two-component silicone needs to be transported by a metering pump in strict accordance with the ratio (such as A:B=1:1 or 10:1), and the metering pump accuracy should be calibrated regularly (check once every 8 hours, the error should be <±1%).
If the color of the discharge is found to be uneven (poor mixing of the two components), stop the machine immediately to check the metering pump speed or whether the pipeline is blocked.
Injection accuracy control:
Adjust the distance between the nozzle and the mold (usually 5-10mm, too close distance is easy to drip, too far is easy to produce bubbles), and keep vertical filling to avoid skew.
Observe whether bubbles are generated during the infusion process (commonly seen when the material is not stirred sufficiently or the infusion speed is too fast). This can be solved by reducing the infusion speed and vacuum degassing the material (pre-treatment).
3. Safety and abnormal handling
Anti-curing measures: If the machine is stopped for more than 10 minutes, the pipes and nozzles need to be flushed with a diluent (such as silicone oil) (to prevent silicone from curing and clogging in the pipes), especially room temperature curing silicone.
Emergency stop: Press the emergency stop button immediately if the following situations are found:
Abnormal noise or severe vibration of the equipment (may be a pump failure or loose parts);
Pipeline leakage, barrel temperature exceeding the set value by more than 10°C (may cause material failure);
Electrical components are smoking or have a burnt smell (immediately cut off the main power supply).
