Low-Temperature Transportation Instructions for Liquid Coating Silicone Rubber (Export to Russia)

I. Core Low-Temperature Resistance Properties of the Goods

The liquid coating silicone rubber (LSR) to be exported has been specially optimized for low-temperature transportation scenarios. Its core low-temperature performance is detailed below, which is fully compatible with the winter transportation environment in Russia:

Low-Temperature Tolerance Limit: It can withstand a low temperature of -35℃ for a short period (7-15 days, which is consistent with the cross-border transportation cycle). For long-term transportation (more than 15 days), the transportation environment shall be maintained at ≥-30℃ as recommended.

Low-Temperature State Change: In the temperature range of -20℃ ~ -35℃, the goods will only experience temporary physical changes, including a sharp increase in viscosity and paste-like solidification. Its chemical properties and vulcanization activity remain unchanged, without any quality loss.

Reversibility Description: Upon arrival, the goods shall be placed in a normal temperature environment (5~25℃) for standing, after which they will fully recover to their original viscous liquid state. They can be used normally after uniform stirring, without affecting subsequent coating, vulcanization and molding performance.

Prohibited Temperature: The goods are strictly prohibited from being exposed to a high-temperature environment above 40℃ for a long time, as this will lead to prepolymer self-crosslinking and irreversible quality damage. For winter transportation, the key focus is on the prevention and control of low-temperature freezing and solidification (reversible), rather than high-temperature risks.

II. Operation Specifications for the Consignee Upon Arrival

After the goods arrive at the consignee's warehouse in Russia, the following procedures must be strictly followed to ensure that the goods return to their normal state with no quality abnormalities:

Arrival Inspection: The consignee shall first inspect the integrity of the outer packaging (insulated wooden cases, cartons) to ensure there is no damage or leakage. Meanwhile, the quantity of goods and the integrity of packaging shall be verified. In case of damage or leakage, photos shall be taken immediately for documentation, and our company and the freight forwarder shall be contacted promptly for verification.

Normal Temperature Standing: The entire batch of goods shall be transferred to a normal temperature warehouse (5~25℃). The outer thermal insulation packaging (EPE foam, insulation film) shall be removed, and the warehouse shall be kept ventilated and dry to avoid moisture. The goods shall be allowed to stand for 24~48 hours; if the transportation temperature is below -30℃, the standing time may be extended to 48 hours.

State Recovery: After standing, open the packaging barrels and check the state of the goods: ① If the goods are in a viscous liquid state (normal state), they can be used directly after uniform stirring; ② If the goods are in a paste-like or solidified state (low-temperature freezing and solidification, a normal phenomenon), stir them with a low-speed mixer for 5~10 minutes, and they will fully recover their original fluidity without any impact on quality.

Quality Inspection: After the goods return to their normal state, sampling inspection may be conducted, such as observing color and luster, testing viscosity, or performing small-batch vulcanization tests. The goods shall be deemed qualified if there are no bubbles, no agglomeration, and the vulcanization process is normal. In case of abnormalities (e.g., non-stirrable agglomeration, abnormal color), our company shall be contacted immediately for handling.

III. Risk Tips and Emergency Handling

(I) Common Risks and Countermeasures

Risk 1: The transportation temperature of the goods is below -35℃, resulting in severe solidification (paste-like). Countermeasure: No panic is required, as this is a reversible change. Upon arrival, extend the normal temperature standing time to 48 hours, and the goods can be recovered after stirring, without affecting their quality.

Risk 2: Packaging damage, leading to goods leakage and contamination. Countermeasure: Immediately suspend transportation/operation, take photos to record the damage, isolate the contaminated goods, and contact our company to negotiate a replenishment or handling plan. The freight forwarder shall bear corresponding liabilities.

Risk 3: Direct stirring/use of the goods without standing upon arrival, resulting in uneven stirring and partial non-recovery. Countermeasure: Strictly follow the operation requirement of "standing at normal temperature for 24~48 hours" before stirring, so as to avoid adverse effects on use caused by improper operation.

Risk 4: Incorrectly taking high temperature as the key risk and deliberately heating the goods to above 40℃ during transportation. Countermeasure: Immediately adjust the temperature control to the range of -20℃ ~ 0℃. High temperature will cause irreversible damage to the goods, and such damage is not covered by the quality warranty.
