How to set the temperature and time for silicone thermal transfer trademarks when baking in the oven?
When silicone thermal transfer trademarks are baked in the oven, the temperature and time settings will be affected by many factors such as silicone type, trademark size and thickness, thermal transfer materials, etc. The following are some common reference settings:
Silicone type: Different types of silicone have different heat resistance and characteristics, which have a greater impact on the setting of baking temperature and time.
Ordinary silicone: Generally speaking, the baking temperature of ordinary silicone thermal transfer trademarks in the oven can be set between 150℃ - 180℃, and the baking time is about 10 - 15 minutes. This temperature range and time length can better make the transfer ink firmly adhere to the surface of silicone, while avoiding deformation and discoloration of silicone due to excessive temperature or excessive time.
Food grade silicone: Since food grade silicone has higher requirements for safety and quality, the baking temperature is usually controlled at 120℃ - 150℃, and the baking time is about 15 - 20 minutes. Relatively low temperature can ensure the safety and stability of silicone and prevent the generation of harmful substances during baking.
Trademark size and thickness: The speed of heat transfer and penetration will vary depending on the size and thickness of the trademark, and the baking conditions need to be adjusted accordingly.
Small and thin trademarks: For silicone thermal transfer trademarks with smaller areas and thinner thickness, the temperature can be appropriately lowered to 130℃ - 160℃, and the baking time can be 8 - 12 minutes. Because small and thin trademarks are more likely to be heated evenly, lower temperatures and shorter times can meet the requirements of transfer and curing.
Large and thick trademarks: If it is a larger size or thicker silicone trademark, in order to ensure that the heat can be fully transferred to the inside of the trademark and the transfer effect is good, the temperature can be set at 160℃ - 190℃, and the baking time can be extended to 15 - 20 minutes.
