How to perform silicone heat transfer on leather, cloth and other materials?

For materials such as leather and cloth, silicone heat transfer usually needs to follow a certain process flow. The following is a basic silicone heat transfer operation step, which is suitable for materials such as leather and cloth:

1. Preparation
Choose materials:
Silicone heat transfer film: Choose a silicone heat transfer film suitable for leather and cloth, and ensure that it has good adhesion and elasticity.
Leather or cloth: Make sure the surface of the material is flat and clean, without oil, dust and other impurities.
Design pattern:
Use design software to create the pattern to be transferred and print it on a high-temperature resistant release film.
Debug equipment:
Adjust the temperature and pressure of the heat press machine, usually the temperature is about 150℃ and the pressure is 4-5kg.
2. Transfer operation
Place the material:
Place the leather or cloth flat on the working surface of the heat press machine.
Place the printed silicone heat transfer film (pattern side down) in the corresponding position on the leather or cloth.
Heating transfer:
Close the heating cover of the heat press machine and start heating transfer. Depending on the specific situation of the equipment, it may take about 15 seconds to press the front and back.
Cooling and film tearing: After the heat press machine cools down, gently peel off the silicone heat transfer film. At this time, the pattern has been successfully transferred to the leather or cloth.
3. Subsequent processing
Check the quality: Check whether the transferred pattern is complete and clear, and ensure that there is no shedding, blurring, etc.
Finishing and cutting: Cut and sort the transferred leather or cloth as needed for subsequent use.
4. Precautions
Temperature control: The heating temperature should not be too high or too low to avoid damaging the leather or cloth, or causing incomplete pattern transfer.
Uniform pressure: During the transfer process, ensure that the pressure is evenly distributed to avoid deformation or shedding of the pattern.
Material selection: According to the type and characteristics of leather and cloth, select a suitable silicone heat transfer film to ensure the transfer effect.
Environmental requirements: The transfer operation should be carried out in a dry and dust-free environment to avoid dust, oil and other impurities affecting the transfer effect.
Storage conditions: Unused silicone heat transfer films should be stored in a dry and cool environment to avoid moisture and high temperature that may cause performance degradation.

In summary, when performing silicone heat transfer, you need to carefully prepare materials, design patterns, debug equipment, and perform transfer according to the correct operating procedures. At the same time, you also need to pay attention to temperature control, uniform pressure, material selection, environmental requirements, and storage conditions to ensure transfer effects and product quality.
