How to delay the curing of silicone ink
1. Optimize ink formulation and use
Choose slow-drying silicone ink: consult the supplier for models with low reactivity or inhibitors to extend the operable time.
Control the mixing ratio and dosage:
Mix A/B components strictly according to the ratio (usually 10:1 or 5:1) to avoid excessive mixing;
Take a small amount of ink each time, and seal and refrigerate the remaining ink (5-10℃) to slow down the reaction.
2. Equipment operation adjustment
Short shutdown treatment (≤10 minutes):
Cover the screen with a wet sponge to reduce solvent evaporation;
Reduce the pressure of the scraper to avoid the ink being squeezed to the edge for curing.
Long shutdown treatment (>10 minutes):
Immediately clean the screen, scraper and printing head (with a special silicone ink cleaning agent);
Recycle unused ink into a sealed container.
3. Environmental control
Temperature and humidity management:
The printing workshop maintains 20-25℃ and relative humidity 50%-60%;
Avoid air conditioning blowing directly on the screen (may cause local condensation and accelerate curing).
Ventilation optimization:
Use an exhaust system to remove solvent vapor, but avoid strong wind blowing directly onto the screen.
4. Equipment modification suggestions
Add a screen cooling system: such as air cooling or water cooling device to reduce the screen temperature when the machine is stopped.
Automatic cleaning function: High-end models can be equipped with an automatic cleaning system to automatically rinse the screen when the machine is stopped.
