How long does it take to make a silicone trademark?

The production time of silicone trademarks varies depending on the complexity of the process, order size and post-processing requirements, usually ranging from 3 days to 60 days, as follows:

1. Basic process production time (mainly core molding)

Manual glue dripping process

Operation time: After mixing AB glue, scraping or injection must be completed within 1-1.5 hours (to avoid colloid solidification).

Curing time:

Room temperature curing: more than 24 hours (complete curing requires more than 24 hours, the higher the temperature, the faster the curing).

Heating curing: heating at 120℃ for 10-30 seconds (such as copper mold rapid prototyping process).

Applicable scenarios: small batch, DIY or simple pattern trademarks, the total time is about 1-2 days (including curing).

Compression molding process

Vulcanization time: adjusted according to product thickness, usually 30 seconds to 5 minutes (temperature 150-200℃, pressure 10-30MPa).
Total time: mold making (3-15 days) + sample testing (3-5 days) + mass production (5-20 days) ≈ 11-40 days (large-volume orders).
Liquid silicone injection molding process
Curing time: high-temperature rapid vulcanization (120-180°C, 5-30 seconds), more efficient than molding.
Total time: mold making (7-15 days) + sample testing (3-5 days) + mass production (5-10 days) ≈ 15-30 days (suitable for precision trademarks).
2. Complete production cycle (including design, testing, post-processing)
Design and mold making
Time: 1-15 days (3 days for simple structures, up to 1 month for complex structures).
Key point: Mold accuracy directly affects the quality of the finished product, and complex trademarks require longer time to optimize the design.
Sample testing and adjustment
Time: 3-5 days (physical properties such as size, hardness, and tensile strength need to be tested).
Importance: Avoid defects in mass production and reduce rework costs.
Mass production
Time: 5-20 days (5-10 days for small batches of 1000-5000 pieces, 10-20 days for large batches of more than 5000 pieces).
Efficiency difference: Liquid silicone injection molding is 2-3 times faster than compression molding, suitable for urgent orders.
Post-processing and packaging
Time: 3-5 days (including deburring, secondary vulcanization, surface treatment, full inspection and packaging).
Special processes: spraying hand oil, laser engraving LOGO, etc. will add 1-2 days.
3. Key factors affecting production time
Product complexity
Three-dimensional graphics, microstructures or fine textures require more precise molds and multiple tests, which may extend the cycle by 10-20 days.
Order quantity
Small batch orders (such as 100 pieces) may be completed through rapid proofing (3-5 days), while large batch orders (such as 100,000 pieces) require a full production cycle (about 60 days).
Raw material supply
Special silicone (such as food grade, medical grade) requires additional procurement time, which may be delayed by 3-7 days.
Surface treatment requirements
Additional spraying, printing or electroplating processes will add 5-10 days.
Quality standards
Medical-grade and food-grade products require more stringent testing processes (such as FDA certification), which may extend the cycle by 2-4 weeks.
