The color sequence of color screen printing is generally yellow, cyan, magenta and black.
Considering the process requirements, the color sequence is also arranged as cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
There are also printing colors in foreign countries that are arranged in black, yellow, magenta and cyan.
Due to the different shapes of substrates in screen printing (flat and curved surfaces) and the different properties of substrate materials, the color sequence should be black, yellow, cyan and magenta. The arrangement of color sequence has an important restrictive relationship on reflecting the color of the original.
How to ensure that the color of the copy is not distorted requires not only the correct grasp of the use of ink, but also long-term work practice and experience accumulation, to continuously explore and summarize.
There are two factors to consider when determining the color sequence of screen printing. One of them is the transparency of the ink on the substrate, which is the main factor of the two factors. In screen printing, new colors of ink are produced by mixing or superimposing inks of various colors. If the transparency of the ink on the substrate is poor, the first color will be covered when printing the second color, and it cannot be combined with the second color to generate a new color. The second factor is that the human eye has different abilities to perceive various colors. Generally speaking, the human eye is most sensitive to magenta, followed by cyan, and least sensitive to yellow. Because people have different sensitivities to colors, they often cannot distinguish the enlargement or reduction, loss, and change in the amount of ink of yellow dots, thus affecting the printing quality.
The correct degree and requirements of screen printing technology are: first, use cyan plate printing, and after printing, use the scale and color standard to compare and check the gradation reproduction. The second color is printed with yellow plate, so that the two colors are superimposed into green, and then use the characteristics of the human eye's strong ability to recognize green tones to check the printing quality against the scale and color standard. The third color is printed with a magenta plate, and the last is a black plate. The black plate can enhance the outline and dark tone. After the four-color plate is printed, a color copy identical to the original is obtained.
