Preparing the Ink:

Gather the necessary tools and ingredients:

Silicone ink

Catalyst (typically 3–5% of ink volume)

Mixing cup

Weighing scale

Measure the appropriate amount of silicone ink and catalyst using the weighing scale. The catalyst is typically added at a ratio of 3–5% of the ink volume.

Pour the measured ink and catalyst into the mixing cup.

Thoroughly mix the ink and catalyst together until they are fully blended. Ensure that there are no lumps or inconsistencies in the mixture.

Printing:

Test the silicone substrate:

Heat a small area of the silicone wristband at 495°F (257°C).

If the material melts, it is not silicone. Confirm that your wristbands are made of silicone before proceeding.

Once confirmed, print your design onto the silicone wristbands using the prepared ink mixture. You can use screen printing or pad printing techniques depending on your equipment and preference.

Curing the Product:

Heat Cure:

Place the printed silicone wristbands into a heat curing oven or conveyor dryer.

Follow the curing temperature and time recommendations provided by the silicone ink manufacturer. Typically, curing temperatures range from 250°F to 400°F (120°C to 200°C), depending on the ink type and substrate.

Air Cure:

Alternatively, some silicone inks may offer an air curing option. In this case, allow the printed wristbands to air dry at room temperature for the recommended curing duration.

Once cured, ensure that the silicone wristbands have fully bonded with the ink and have achieved the desired durability and flexibility.

Following these steps will enable you to effectively print on silicone wristbands using silicone ink, ensuring a high-quality and long-lasting result.
