High and low temperature resistance of coated silicone
Coated silicone is a functional coating material based on organic silicone. It is covered on the surface of the substrate by brushing, spraying, dipping, etc. to form a protective film with special properties.
1. Excellent high and low temperature resistance
High temperature resistance: Coated silicone can be used in an environment of -60℃ to 200℃ (some high-performance models can reach more than 300℃) for a long time, and can even withstand higher temperatures (such as 350℃ in an instant) in a short period of time, and will not crack, harden or melt due to drastic temperature changes.
For example: used for wiring harness protection in the engine compartment of a car, it can resist the high temperature generated by the operation of the engine; on the surface of heating components of household appliances such as ovens and microwave ovens, it can withstand baking temperatures for a long time.
Low temperature resistance: It can still maintain good flexibility and elasticity at extremely low temperatures (such as below -60℃), will not become brittle or lose its protective function, and is suitable for protection in cold areas or low-temperature equipment (such as refrigeration equipment, outdoor cables).
