                                      Application Method of Embossed Silicone for Heat Pressing

Embossed silicone for heat pressing is a versatile tool widely used for creating various textures, patterns, and fonts. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or an industrial manufacturer, this technique holds unique value. 1. Preparation Stage

Before applying embossed silicone for heat pressing, some essential materials and tools need to be prepared. These include molds, substrates (such as fabric or paper), printing tools (such as a scraper or embossing machine), and silicone A and B curing agents.

Choosing the Right Mold: Select an appropriate mold based on the desired depth and shape of the pattern.

Mixing the Silicone: Mix the silicone A and B components in a weight ratio of 1:1 or 10:1, and stir evenly. Using an electronic scale ensures more precise proportions.

2. Operation Process

Vacuum Degassing: Place the evenly mixed silicone into a vacuum machine for degassing. The silicone container should not be filled to avoid spillage during the degassing process. The process is complete when no air bubbles remain.

Applying Silicone: Place the fabric or other substrate onto the lower mold, then evenly spread the degassed silicone onto the fabric. The thickness of the silicone should be adjusted according to the specific requirements of the product.

Printing or Heat Pressing:

Use an embossing machine for high-temperature pressing. Place the mold and fabric into the embossing machine, set the appropriate temperature and pressure, and begin pressing. Typically, the temperature is set between 150-190°C, with the duration depending on the specific situation. The silicone will fully cure under heat.

3. Points to Note

Material Selection: Harder materials are not suitable for printing or heat pressing embossed patterns, so it's important to choose the appropriate substrate.

Ink or Pigment: During the printing process, ensure that the silicone is applied evenly and in the right amount to avoid overuse or underuse.

Silicone Quality: When storing embossed silicone, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and contamination by oil or other substances that could affect the quality of the silicone.

Mold Cleaning: After using the mold, it should be cleaned promptly to ensure its readiness for the next use.

By following these steps, you can effectively apply embossed silicone in heat pressing techniques.
