Core factors affecting the washability of silicone logos
Usually around 20-50 washes, with large differences, mainly depending on factors such as silicone material quality, logo printing process, washing method, and clothing fabric.
Silicone material and process
High-quality silicone (such as food-grade silicone) has good flexibility, strong adhesion, and anti-aging ingredients are added, which makes it more resistant to water and friction; inferior silicone may have a hard texture, poor adhesion, and is prone to cracking or falling off.
Printing process (such as dripping glue, pressing glue) If the process is mature (the glue layer is uniform and the edge fits the fabric), the washability will be stronger; if the glue layer is too thin and the edge is not compacted, it is easy to fall off from the corners during washing.
Washing method
Washing machine speed: When spinning at high speed, the friction between clothes increases, and the logo is easily pulled or damaged by collision; low-speed mode is more friendly.
Water temperature and detergent: High temperature (over 40℃) may cause silicone to soften and reduce adhesion; strong alkaline detergents or bleach will corrode silicone and accelerate aging.
Washing status: If the clothes are turned inside out (logo facing inward), direct friction between the logo and other clothes can be reduced; if the zipper or button is rubbed during mixed washing, the logo may be damaged.
Drying and care
Exposure to the sun will cause the silicone to be exposed to ultraviolet rays for a long time, gradually hardening and cracking; it is more appropriate to dry in the shade or avoid direct sunlight.
If you use a dryer, high-temperature drying will also damage the silicone, so it is recommended to dry it naturally.
