Usage

 

Screen printing silicone is suitable for non-slip, waterproof, high and low temperature resistance, health care and decoration, etc. for manual screen printing, rotary screen printing and ribbon machine printing.

 

Precautions

 

Firstly: the mesh count of the screen plate should be selected appropriately,since the particles of silicone rubber are much larger than the ink, the mesh of the screen is generally around 80--120 T. If you choose too high, the silicone will not stick to the substrate through the screen. If it is too large, it will automatically flow like a substrate.

 

Secondly: When the screen is scraped, the photosensitive adhesive needs to be thicker than ordinary screen ink, because the general silicone printing pays more attention to the three-dimensional effect than ink printing, and highlighting its three-dimensional effect is also a very important reason for using screen silicone printing . Generally, the thickness is 0.1-0.5, and it is qualitative according to the actual thickness of the sample.

 

Third: There are two types of silk screen silicone, one is ordinary silk screen silicone, which needs to be mixed with two kinds of silicone A and B before use, and this silicone needs to be baked,the general temperature is around 120-160 degrees Celsius;the other is one-component silicone rubber that does not need to be baked for screen printing;the former can be used for a long time without block the screen and other phenomena,it needs to be baked;for some materials of cloth or fabric adhesion is much poorer. If the material cannot be baked at high temperature, or is not suitable for baking, then this kind of silicone rubber cannot be selected as the screen printing material. The later does not need to be baked after printing and dries naturally in 6-10 minutes,but it is easy to block the screen, so the silicone rubber needs to be replaced constantly during printing, and the waste is relatively large,it is generally suitable for printing on materials or fabrics that A and B silicone rubber are not suitable for printing. When adding color paste or gold and silver powder, etc., A and B adhesives only need to be adjusted at room temperature. For single-component silicone rubber, a sealed mixing container is generally equipped to stir it, and each time use is little injected quantitatively,avoid waste and save costs.
screen printing silicone belongs to organic silicone, the main chain of silicone products is -Si-O-, no double bond exists, so it is not easy to be decomposed by ultraviolet light and ozone. Silicone has better thermal stability, radiation resistance and weather resistance than other polymer materials, and its service life in the natural environment can reach decades or even hundreds of years. Classification

 

There are two types of screen printing silicone rubber, one-component silicone rubber and two-component silicone rubber.
1) One-component silicone rubber,the vulcanization reaction of one-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is to vulcanize into an elastomer by interacting with moisture in the air, so the storage conditions are relatively high and the storage time is relatively short.
2) The two-component silicone rubber does not depend on the moisture in the air, but on a catalyst (platinum) at a certain temperature. the temperature is around 80-150 degrees.

 

Requirements for the printed screen: the selection of mesh count is generally determined according to the printed graphics, such as the thickness of the lines, the thickness of the printing, usually between 80-150 mesh count, and the printing thickness is between 0.1-2mm. Manual printing processing is done through many times, so the thickness of the screen is relatively thin, and machine printing is usually one-time forming, so the thickness of the screen is relatively thick.
