Since the 1980s, with the rapid growth of China's economy and the swift advancement of science and technology, the organosilicon industry in China has experienced unprecedented rapid growth. Particularly after entering the 21st century, China's organosilicon industry has made a significant leap in production capacity. According to industry statistics, in 2000, China's annual organosilicon production capacity was only a few hundred thousand tons. By 2010, this figure had increased to the million-ton level. In recent years, especially with domestic enterprises continuously increasing investment, improving production processes, and expanding production facilities, the production capacity of organosilicon has grown rapidly.
Specific data shows that in 2017, China's total polysiloxane production capacity reached 1.376 million tons per year, and by 2022, this figure had grown to approximately 1.5 million tons per year, with an average annual compound growth rate remaining at a high level. It is expected that by 2024, China's annual organosilicon production capacity will reach 1.74 million tons, further consolidating its leading position in the global organosilicon market.
According to industry forecasts, the demand for organosilicon in China is expected to continue its rapid growth in the coming years, with particularly significant growth in emerging fields such as new energy and electronics and electrical appliances.
